Manchester City - Investing in Fan Experience

Manchester City is currently undertaking a transformative construction project at the Etihad Stadium, aiming to turn it into a world-class entertainment hub. This £300 million expansion, which focuses on the North Stand, will add approximately 7,900 seats, raising the stadium's capacity to over 60,000. However, the renovations go well beyond seating: the plans include a massive, 3,000-capacity fan zone, a new museum, an expanded club shop, and a 391-room hotel, all designed to elevate the matchday experience and make the stadium an exciting year-round destination.

One of the highlights of this project is the development of innovative fan spaces. The City Square fan zone will be a covered, all-weather area featuring numerous food and drink options, creating a lively environment for fans to gather before and after games. Additionally, the expanded North Stand will include a sky bar and a rooftop stadium walk, offering fans breathtaking views of the pitch and the Manchester skyline. These enhancements reflect Manchester City's commitment to creating an interactive and immersive space for fans and visitors.

The project is also expected to support the local community by offering job opportunities and contributing to the area's economic growth. Construction, led by contractor Sisk, began in late 2023 and is expected to wrap up by the 2025/26 season for seating capacity, with the hotel and other facilities anticipated to open by late 2026.
